Katie Schmitt received a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in Data Curation from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2014.  Previously, she worked as a sales manager with a focus on real estate database management, advertising and web design.  Her interests include data governance, preservation and lifecycle management.  Katie has a Bachelor of Science in Online Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
